A fantastic plateau over 2000 metres with the rock walls of Rocca la Meja rising high above the green pastures, once a tropical seabed, nowadays a perfect terrain for mountain biking.
DR Cycling Tours leads you to discover the beauty of the Gardetta Plateau, crossed from side to side by the old military road that offers a wide range of tours, for all skills and preferences.
The proposed itinerary, with the climbs and difficulties shown here, is, like all DR cycling Tours proposals, fully customizable, as a custom suit, on the needs, tastes, preparation of each client, with maximum flexibility– both by planning the trip, and on the field– thanks to the management in small groups with the assistance of qualified guides and the support of equipped vehicles.

Starting in Maira or Stura valleys, DR Cycling Tours proposes different options to live the Gardetta Plateau at his best: technically easy ones, but nevertheless of greatest satisfaction, and other suitable to high level bikers.
“Gardetta Classic” is the amazing crossing of the entire plateau, from Colle Fauniera to Colle del Preit, fully on gravel road and suitable for all bikers, thanks to the limited elevation gain and low technical difficulties.
Those who have good skills can engage on the descent from the Passo della Gardetta to Acceglio, riding an exciting single-track, from the high prairies to the beautiful villages preserving the characters of the tradition alpine architecture.
As exciting as the crossing from the Maira to the Stura valley by simple gravel roads in the wild nature, or by demanding descents on difficult single tracks.
