Legendary roads and epic climbs where the greatest Tour de France champions wrote the history of cycling. An extraordinary trip for well-trained cyclists from the banks of Lake Geneva to the beaches of the French Riviera.
A huge classic of bicycle touring, that we propose with some variation making it even more interesting, riding less know but not less spectacular climbs and descents.
The proposed itinerary, with the climbs and difficulties shown here, is, like all DR cycling Tours proposals, fully customizable, as a custom suit, on the needs, tastes, preparation of each client, with maximum flexibility– both by planning the trip, and on the field– thanks to the management in small groups with the assistance of qualified guides and the support of equipped vehicles.

From the banks of Lake Geneva we will head towards the Alps, shortly reaching the Col de Joux Plane, in a variation of the classical “Route” on a majestic climbs.
The Mont Blanc will overcome the landscape on the green passes of Colombière, Aravis and Saisies, the Savoy triptych that precede a symbol of the entire France: the Cormet de Roselend, a colour party in the emerald waters of the lake lying at the head of Beaufort valley.
Iseran – the highest paved pass in Europa – and Galibier are giants in altitude and history, where the memories of Claudio Chiappucci’s and Marco Pantani’s escapes still moves nowadays.
Briançon and Izoard are simply the legend of cycling, and the Casse Deserte one of the most exciting place for riding bikes in the world.
Once overcome the Col de Vars, atmospheres get Mediterranean, and at the Col de la Cayolle the Riviera is a stone-throw. But before reaching the Promenade des Anglais the Col de Turini, the last giant of the French Alps, reveals his beauty under our wheels with unforgettable switchbacks sequence.
