Starting our tour in Bastia Mondovì, we will climb the first foothills of the Langhe on quiet roads with breath-taking views of the entire Alpine arch, reaching with continuous up and downs Murazzano and his medieval tower.
The amazing Langhe panoramic road, going through Bossolasco and Monforte, will take us in the homeland of Barolo, the king of Piedmont wines, loved by the Savoy family and undisputed star of the best tables in the world.
On the road leading from La Morra to the town of Alba the last challenge of the day will be the climb to the Grinzane Cavour castle, UNESCO World Heritage Site and incredible panoramic point of view over the Langhe’s vineyards.
Back on bicycles, we will head up to Barbaresco, another cradle of excellent wines, then we will cross the Tanaro river and start an amazing series of climb and descents among Roero’s medieval villages: Guarene, Castellinaldo, Cisterna, Montà.
The gentle profile of the Asti’s countryside will accompany our ride to its end in Pralormo, facing its beautiful castle.
A quick transfer to Castelnuovo Don Bosco and again on bike, again climbing towards Albugnano, highest point of the Monferrato region and wonderful viewpoint on the north-western Alps.
Through Cinzano and Sciolze, we will reach the foot of the legendary climb of Superga, that we will face from a less busy and easier side than the one starting in the city centre, made famous by the Milano – Torino, the oldest pro race in Italy.
Form the hills revealing the “most beautiful landscape of Europe” (words by Pope Pius XII) we will descend in the town by the panoramic road and the narrow roads leading directly to the Valentino Castle, end of our trips on the banks of Po river.
