Turin is a treasure trove of art and history, enclosed between the hills and the Alps. From the Valentino Castle along the Po river we will ride towards the Sacra di San Michele, the symbol of medieval Italy and gate to the Alps, and we will reach Susa by quiet secondary roads. We will climb the gravel road of the Colle delle Finestre and the slopes of Sestriere, stage finish of many Giro d’Italia and Tour de France.
Once reached Briançon, legendary place for cycling since the early XX century, through the Monginevro pass, the Col d’Izoard and the Colle dell’Agnello will disclose to the riders the beauty of Queyras-Monviso region; the Occitan Valleys will engage us on
Sampeyre, Fauniera and Lombarda passes: narrow, fascinating, hidden roads; unforgettable climbs, the most brilliant jewel in the Western Alps.
Arriving to the Madone d’Utelle, we’ll finally admire the enchanting landscape of Cote d’Azur and the city of Nice, destination of our cycling travel.
